Re-imagining World Order in the Age of Trump – A Postgraduate Masterclass on Trump

As part of the Institute for Social Science Research Global Scholar Programme, Dr Rodger Payne (University of Louisville) will deliver a postgraduate master class on Thursday 30 May. Dr Payne will discuss his previous and ongoing research and then open the floor for discussion.

Under his leadership the United States has announced its withdrawal from various international agreements and institutions, including the Paris Climate Accord and the United Nations Human Rights Council. Trump has likewise threatened to abandon the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and the World Trade Organization. What kind of world order is likely to emerge?
